A change of scenery! If you've ever seen postcards of Alsace, or even visited the region, you'll no doubt have seen the image of narrow cobbled streets lined with colourful half-timbered houses. Well, that's exactly what Alsace looks like! Behind these high 16th-century facades, you'll often find a farmhouse with an inner courtyard, and often a cellar! As most of the participants recall, the tradition was mixed farming. Wine was an integral part of the system. Witness to this history: large oak barrels of up to 4,800 hectolitres, lined up in the cellars. Each valley has its own panorama of vine-covered hills. The 2021 vintage may be haunting our memories, but there's still plenty of sparkle in our eyes when it comes to talking about experimentation and testing new practices!
