South-West travel diary

The South-West has completely turned our heads. In the regions we've already visited, farms are in serious decline, but in Irrouleguy, the land is highly prized. There's stiff competition between ewes, pigs and vines! Then the foothills of the Pyrenees gave way to the plateaux of Jurançon and Madiran. The roundness of the sweet wines on our palates somewhat softened the tales of the winegrowers devastated by the mildew of 2023. Fortunately, far from giving up, we felt a wind of renewal blowing through the region! A new-found pugnacity!
